Summer Show SchoolWe also run a Summer Show School each year from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day with a show for relatives and friends on the Friday at 2 p.m. During the week, the children will learn all aspects to put on a show of dance, song, poetry etc. Next year we will be running two sessions. One is run by Miss Nika & Vanessa & John from Monday 28th July to Friday 1st August and the other by Miss Verite & Mrs Ellis from Monday4th to Friday 8th August. The cost for the week is £85 but if you have 2 or more children attending, there is a reduction to £75 each. If participating in both sessions then, the total price is £150 or , if 2+ children, £130 each. You can enroll in the shop or by post (make cheques payable to Ealing Dance Studio). We will provide soft drinks but would ask you to pack a small snack for the mid-session break. Please also bring Tap or hard soled shoes and mark names in everything. This is a fun week of dance, songs, poetry & acting for children aged 5 to 13 years. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The EALING DANCE ACADEMY is a private school run by our Principal Miss Nika Bolinski, using qualified teachers and pianists. The syllabus is the Royal Academy of Dancing for ballet and the Imperial Society for Teachers of Dance for tap & modern. Aim The aim is to provide children of all ages with a grounding in both poise and dancing pleasure. They then progress with the opportunity to express themselves in more advanced work, taking examinations with the R.A.D. and the I.S.T.D. Examination Procedure The teacher will assess the childs progress and when it is felt that they are competent you will be advised that they can be entered, conditional on receipt of a non-refundable deposit. Extra classes are run in preparation and as a condition of entering, they must attend these additional coaching sessions. The balance of the exam fee must be paid prior to the exam. Once entered it is up to you to ensure availability for the exam date. The R.A.D. will not enter any child below age 6. We and the teachers will advise on any points as they arise but please feel free to ask. School Fees Fees are paid on a Term basis only and are due before the first attendance. Newcomers may pay the Term Fee and if after the lesson they do not wish to continue, it will be refunded less 1 daily amount. Half Term fees can only be paid for the second half of any term but, n.b. fees are non-refundable for sickness or absence. School Uniform Like all good schools we maintain the R.A.D. & I.S.T.D. standards of dress. Our uniform is as follows and teachers are asked to ensure it is adhered to :

The above and made to measure Character Skirts, as well as many other Dancewear & dance accessories are available in the adjacent shop. Please help us to return mislaid items by MARKING ALL CLOTHES & SHOES. Please ask children not to wear dance shoes in the street as this can bring in grit which damages the floor. TAP & MODERN I.S.T.D.
STRETCH & STREET DANCEThis is a non-syllabus fun class that continues throughout the year. The class is taught by MISS SARA-BEATRICE. We will be running a course around the end of October in preparation for a routine to be used for 'Lighting The Lane'. Classes are held every SATURDAY at 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 aimed at 6 to 10 year age group and every SATURDAY at 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 aimed at the10 year plus age group. This does not prevent children from attending both or either class but gives an indication of the standard taught. A short warm up is followed by a jazz dance routine to a chart single taught in easy stages. Classes are just £3.50 per class or 10 for £30.
ACTION KIDSThese are daytime classes for pre-school children. The classes
provide fun using Music & Movement with parents / carers in
attendance. Come & bring your tots to join in the singing, dancing,
musical instruments, parachute fun, finger puppets & interesting
games with our trained teacher Lu. Classes are held during term times (see Ballet) every Wednesday from 10.30 to 11.15 a.m. for ages 9 months to 48 months. Now there are more than 12 we have added another session from 11.15 am to 12 pm. This term is for 12 weeks and is reasonably priced at just £44. For each week you commence after the initial week, there is a reduction of £3.50. We have now introduced a taster session at a daily rate of £4 per but this is deducted on the second visit from the remaining term rate. OTHER The Studio has availability during the day for other classes so, if you are looking to run a class, or teach piano, etc. just give us a call. Rates from 1st January 2005 : 1 Hour = £18, 2 Hours = £30, 3 or more hours = £12.50 p.h. For one to one basis (i.e. Piano lesson) £10 p.h.
